Brunch has officially arrived at Fort Oak in Mission Hills. This new restaurant recently opened a few months ago and they are now offering brunch on the weekends. I had a chance to check it out with my good friend Liz of Bloody Mary Obsessed.

Just one look at their beautiful El Camino which is a tomatillo bloody mary and you'll know you are in brunch heaven! I couldn't help myself, so I had to try two different drinks. I saw the bartenders making them and they all looked so good. Shout out to the amazing Fort Oak bartenders! You can tell they take pride in their craft. Even as I was photographing them they took time to help me with my garnish to make sure it was photo ready. Love it!

Both drinks were delicious and I honestly couldn't choose a favorite. I loved the unique flavors of the tomatillo and cilantro in their bloody mary. The Charger cocktail with coconut infused vodka, cold brew and mint was also refreshing and I appreciated the extra pep it put in my step.

Now that you know what cocktails you need to try, let's talk food. I'm the type of person that always wants to know my servers favorite dish. After all, they are serving it all day long! Our server highly recommended the Chicken Fried Quail and French Toast combo so that's what I went with. It was so good! The quail subtly tasted like thanksgiving dinner because of the stuffing underneath the breading. Might sound odd but I assure you it was delicious. Every bite was packed with flavor and the french toast was the perfect compliment.

Thank you Fort Oak for having me! I'm already looking forward to coming back for more!
