Over the past year I have become more and more obsessed with delicious acai smoothie bowls. It started with ordering them at some of my favorite local spots like Swami’s Cafe in La Mesa and San Diego Blenders. But what do you do when you want to save time and money? My Easy Homemade Acai Smoothie Bowl Recipe has you covered!
This acai smoothie bowl recipe only takes a few minutes and is easy to make with ingredients found at most local grocery stores. The only exception is the Bee Pollen which I picked up at GNC for under $10. Side note about Bee Pollen, did you know it’s considered one of nature's most completely nourishing foods? 40% of that being protein and about half of that protein is in the form of free amino acids that are ready to be used directly by the body.
I knew I was on to something when I first started sharing my love for these delicious smoothie bowls on my Instagram. It never fails, every post gets hundreds of likes compared to my other meals that I share. So be sure to take a well lit photo of this homemade acai smoothie bowl when you’re done! While you’re at it, I would love if you tag me on Instagram using my hashtag #natashasfoodadventures so I can see your creations.
Easy Homemade Acai Smoothie Bowl Recipe
*Serves 2*
Ingredients
For The Smoothie Base:
2 Sambazon Acai Pure Unsweetened Packs
Half a Banana
⅓ Cup Frozen Berries or Strawberries
¼ Cup Apple Juice
½ Tbs. Of Organic Honey
Toppings:
⅓ Cup Organic Granola
2 Tbs. Shredded Coconut
2 Tbs. Bee Pollen
Half a Banana (Sliced)
½ Cup Fresh Strawberries (Sliced)
⅓ Cup Fresh Blueberries
Directions:
First you will want to combine all of the smoothie base ingredients in a high powered blender. I use a magic bullet and it’s good to go in about a minute.
Next, pour the mixture in a medium sized bowl and then top with all the fresh fruit and granola your bowl will allow.
Enjoy immediately for maximum freshness!
