Nothing says summer quite like gelato and now your San Diego options for finding this frosty treat have increased. The lovely people at Le Parfait Paris in the Gaslamp Quarter just added gelato to their menu and it’s heavenly!
They have several flavors you can try including Pineapple Cinnamon to Vegan Chocolate. The Pineapple Cinnamon tastes like pie by the way and I love it! Any of these new gelatos will also pair nicely with another new menu offering…summer mimosas! They’ve had champagne and mimosas before but for the summer they’ve launched some fresh flavors!
Want to spruce up your gelato experience? Ask for it in a waffle cone and add a delicious macaron on top! My favorite flavor? The vanilla charcoal which honestly tastes like cake batter. I topped it off with their Earl Grey and Jasmine Macaron for the ultimate sweet treat!
We also ordered the vegan chocolate in a waffle cone and topped it off with a Tennessee Bourbon Pecan macaron. Vegan or not, this chocolate gelato is perfection! The right amount of chocolate and it’s so creamy which is surprising considering it’s dairy free.
Not in the mood for gelato? They have so many other amazing desserts to try as well! I’ve gone over many of them in a previous blog post, but one in particular is worth mentioning again. This Tarte Aux Fruits is made of seasonal hand picked fresh fruits over an almond flavored sweet pastry crust and vanilla custard.
I recommend pairing it with their new Summer Feel Mimosa. It’s champagne, vodka, watermelon, mint, and fresh lime. It will give you all the summer vibes!
